Whitten Oval hosts Covid-19 vaccination pop-up

People yet to be vaccinated against COVID-19 are being urged to get the jab this weekend at VU Whitten Oval’s second pop-up clinic.

The clinic will be open from 8am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday (Octeber 23 and 24) at the VU Whitten Oval Community Sports Stadium, 417 Barkly Street, West Footscray.

It follows a great response to VU Whitten Oval’s first clinic three weeks ago, when more than 2000 people rolled up their sleeves to get vaccinated.

Rahmatullah Hossaini, who participated in the first pop-up clinic, said he chose VU Whitten Oval because it was a great community initiative by the Western Bulldogs and VU.

Pfizer vaccines will be offered to people coming for their first-dose vaccination, while those coming for their second dose will receive the same vaccine as their first dose.

Everyone aged 12 and over is eligible to get vaccinated, however bookings are essential.

Book online via portal.cvms.vic.gov.au or by calling the Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398 (press 0 for an interpreter).
