Win tickets to Wine and Cheese Fest at Williamstown

Williamstown will next month host the Wine and Cheese Fest at Seaworks, with more than 60 wine, cheese and artisan food vendors there to tantalise the tastebuds.

All-day master classes with industry leaders will include wine and cheese matching and speed tasting.

“One will be held by our Maestro of Mozzarella, Giorgio Linguanti,” said the festival’s Lynda Buckly.

“We also have winemaker Matthew Barry from Mount Avoca – he’ll be talking about, specifically, wine pairings and what tastes best with what and what you can serve with which sort of grape.

“So there’ll be educational opportunities for all festival attendees.”

Competitors will vie for prizes by squeezing as much juice as possible – with their feet – in the Grape Stomp Comp.

There’ll be craft beers, ciders, sauces, olives and olive oil, pickled preserves, pastries, smoked and cured meats, and desserts.

There will also be a Kids Zone, live music and DJs.

The festival is on Saturday, March 9 from 11am-6pm.

There are 5000 tickets; prices start at $50 with children under 15 free.

An after-party will be held at Pirates Tavern from 6pm, with free entry included as part of the festival ticket.

Star Weekly readers have a chance to win one of 10 double passes to the festival. For your chance to win, email win@wineandcheesefest.com.au with subject line: Star Weekly Comp
