Woman killed by truck in West Footscray

A woman has been killed after being hit by a truck in West Footscray.

It is believed the woman, who is yet to be identified, was crossing a service lane on Geelong Road near Bunnings when she was hit by a truck about 2.10pm on Friday.

She died at the scene.

The male truck driver is currently assisting police with enquiries and the exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined.

A police tent remains at the scene, along with a parked container truck.
