The 2022 Western Region Football League fixture has been released, with a number of big matches to take place on Anzac Day weekend.
The division 1 and 2 seasons will get under way on April 2, with the division 3 season to start a week later.
In division 1, Spotswood will start its 2022 campaign against Yarraville-Seddon, and Altona will face off against St Albans.
Despite the 2021 season being cut short due to COVID, Altona finished on top of the ladder, with 10 wins and two loses. The Vikings were awarded the minor premiership, and will look to replicate the success in 2022.
Division 2 will see West Footscray take on Albion and North Footscray take on Newport.
Out of the 12 matches that were played before the season was interrupted, West Footscray found itself at the bottom of the ladder, having lost all 12 games.
North Footscray however was able to win eight matches, and found itself sitting comfortably at third on the ladder.
Division 3 will see Braybrook up against Laverton on April 9.
Laverton struggled in 2021, and out of the nine rounds that were played, it was unable to take home a win.
A series of big clashes will take place over the Anzac Day weekend.
In division 1 Yarraville-Seddon will face off against Sunshine on April 23. Altona will also join them, taking on Spotswood.
