WTF is coming to Williamstown

What the Frankfurt!

A new Williamstown restaurant called WTF is raising eyebrows before its opening next month.

WTF Bar – which stands for World Travel Food Bar – is the brainchild of Sash Boseovski.

Each month, the menu and the venue will be themed to a different country.

“We’re launching with German, so we’re doing a five-course German banquet for $45,” Mr Boseovski said.

“We provide German beverages, whether it’s beers, wines, schnapps, cocktails, so it really feels as though it’s in the heart of Germany.

“Also, throughout the whole venue, we’re projecting imagery – we’ve got about 12 projectors – to really create that ambience to hopefully get people to drift away and submerge them to feel like they’re on a mini-holiday.

“That runs for the calendar month and then being the World Travel Bar we then travel to our next destination, which will be Turkey.”

Mr Boseovski said the menus, featuring very traditional food, were being devised with consultants. February will be Mexican, March Macedonian and May Brazilian.

He said the bar’s name had created a stir.

“In all honesty, we do want to create a few WTF moments but we’re using the brand very wisely,” Mr Boseovski said.

WTF Bar opens in December at 207 Nelson Place, Williamstown.
