A fire which destroyed two cars and damaged a house in Yarraville early on Wednesday morning, is being treated as suspicious.
Firefighters arrived at the home on Stephen Street at 2.39am on 26 November to find the two cars parked in the driveway well alight.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus quickly attacked the car fires, while evacuating neighbouring properties as a precaution.
After the car fires were extinguished, firefighters entered the two-storey house, the front of which was alight.
Three people, believed to be the family residing at the home, had already safely evacuated to the back of the property and were not injured.
The fire was eventually brought under control by 3.05am and a community advice notice was issued for smoke in the area.
Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire.
