Yiasou Yarraville: Greek hub’s new chapter

Thomas Papadopoulos of Yarraville is playing the bouzouki in his band Do Re Mi. These musicians entertained the Greek community around Melbourne during the '60s and early '70s. Papadopoulos and his siblings later owned and operated the Old Athens Greek Tavern of Footscray (from the early '70s to the early '90s) where he continued to play music. Since his retirement almost 30 years ago, Papadopoulos has been a volunteer and continues to play music while entertaining audiences at various fundraising events around the country.
