The Falcons used their home ground advantage to settle into the game and get an early lead.

Roosters coach Trevor Davies said a strong wind made the game difficult.
“The result was two goals in the end … we didn’t take chances when we had them,” he said.
“We had a few blokes down on form and our disposal was poor … we allowed them to take advantage of that on their ground.
“We didn’t adapt as we should have, but take nothing away from them [Falcons] – they were very good.”
Davies said his side needed to kick more goals when kicking with the wind.
“They had the scoring end in the first quarter and we didn’t take advantage in the second quarter,” he said.
“Going into three-quarter-time, we were 23 points down and kicking with the wind, so it should have been gettable – but they were too good.”
Despite having two wins and a loss in the first three rounds, Davies says his side is still learning.
“We are still a work in progress and have a long way to go.
“We are under no illusions where we are at and where we want to go.”
This week, the Roosters will face Laverton, which lost to Sanctuary Lakes, 16.16 (112) to 2.8 (20).
In other division 2 games, Parkside beat Tarneit by 241 points and North Footscray was a 57-point winner against Caroline Springs.
