The AFL has announced the 2022 AFLW fixture will be launched today at Marvel Stadium.
AFL general manager of women’s football Nicole Livingstone will be at the launch, joined by Melbourne captain Daisy Pearce and Western Bulldogs captain Ellie Blackburn.
The season opener will see St Kilda take on Richmond at Frankston’s SkyBus Stadium on Friday, January 7.
On its website, women’s AFL yesterday revealed the Bulldogs will host Melbourne in the annual Hampson-Hardeman Cup at VU Whitten Oval on Saturday night of the first round.
The season is set to kick off on Friday, January 7.
