Altona Magic has left points on the table for the first time this season in Football Federation Victoria’s state league 1.
The Magic went into the clash with second-placed Sydenham Park with a maximum 18 points from six games.
They played out an entertaining 3-3 draw, ensuring Magic kept its six-point lead.
Magic came from a goal down at half-time to secure a point with a double by Adamson Ajayi and a goal to Jon McShane.
In the derby, Altona East Phoenix and Yarraville Glory drew 2-2 at Paisley Park.
The Phoenix is just two points clear of the relegation zone, while the Glory is comfortably in mid-table.
Newly promoted Altona City still has some way to go in adjusting to life in state league 2.
