Altona has extended their undefeated run this season to three after thumping Spotswood by 52-points at Converse Oval in round three of the Western Region Football League division 1 competition on Saturday.

A second quarter seven goal pile on extended Altona’s lead from 10-points at quarter time to 41-points at half-time to give them a big advantage to go on and win the game.

A seven goal performance from Elliot Cavallaro propelled Altona over the line and made a big impact in the match.

Joel Menadue was also impactful with three goals.

The win puts Altona into second position on the ladder behind Caroline Springs, while Spotswood are in fifth position with two wins and its first loss this game.

In other matches, Yarraville Seddon Eagles were able to handle an eight goal performance from Sunshine’s Hisham Kerbatieh to win by a goal at Kinder Smith Reserve in Sunshine.

Blake Green led the goals for the Eagles, kicking three of their 13 goals.

The win marks the Eagles first for the season after losing its first two games.
