English quick Miles Bradshaw has signed with Williamstown CYMS for the Victorian Turf Cricket Association Steve McNamara Shield season. Bradshaw joins the club from Macclesfield in the Cheshire County Cricket League, where he previously played with the CYs’ Oliver Becroft. He is Macclesfield’s leading first XI wicket taker this season.

The Western Football League division 1 season isn’t even over and Spotswood has announced a new signing for next year. The Woodsmen announced that Max Mitchell Russell will join the club and bring years of experience playing for the Port Melbourne Colts in the Southern Football League and the Victorian Football League. Primarily playing as a forward, he has shifted into defence later in his career. “He’s known for his outstanding ball skills and leadership qualities,” the Woodsmen said. “Max can play as a key position forward or back, and will be a fantastic addition to our squad for 2026.”

Gellibrand has added more international flavour to its list for the Victorian Turf Cricket Association Roy Picone Shield season. Xander Selby is a left arm spinner and batsman who comes to the club from Woodbank in the Greater Manchester Cricket League. He has been playing first XI cricket since the age of 14 and became captain of the side at 18. He has represented Lancashire county from under-10s through to senior second XI as well as the North of England representative side at under-15 and under-18 level.

Williamstown CYMS has slipped out of the Victorian Amatuer Football Association premier B top four after a thrilling loss. Facing Old Carey, the CYs late fightback fell just short as it lost 11.12 (78)-11.9 (75). Hamish Tambourine, Ayden McCarroll and Nathan Malkoun were named the CYs best. The CYs now sit in seventh spot, a game outside the top four.
