Bulldogs AFLW to recommence training after COVID-19 scare

The Western Bulldogs AFLW will recommence training tonight after a member of the program tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week.

All PCR tests administered to staff and players have come back negative, which means the AFLW program can resume as normal.

While majority of the program is double-vaccinated, there is a very small number of individuals who only had one dose prior to exposure, which means they will have to stay at home for a further seven days for a total of two weeks in isolation.

The individual, who was fully vaccinated, attended training at VU Whitten Oval on Thursday, November 4 and received a negative result from a rapid antigen test on arrival.

PCR COVID tests were also administered at the training session for all staff and players with one test returning a positive result on Friday.
