Feathers will fly when WRFL rivals Yarraville Seddon Eagles and West Footscray Roosters go head-to-head at Whitten Oval this Saturday, with both sides will be playing for more than just points and pride.
They will be battling for the honour of being the first team to take home the inaugural Maribyrnong Cup. The game will form part of the EJ Whitten Round, raising prostate cancer research funds for the EJ Whitten Foundation and celebrating one of the western suburbs’ greatest players, late Bulldogs legend Ted ‘EJ’ Whitten.
