Nell Morris-Dalton has moved from the Western Bulldogs to Collingwood as the majority of the Bulldogs list signs on for next season.
The Bulldogs had a quiet AFLW sign and trade period, with the departure of Morris-Dalton occurring on the final day.
Morris-Dalton, who played 20 games for the Bulldogs since being taken at pick six in the 2019 AFLW draft, was traded for pick 15.
Prior to her AFLW journey, Morris-Dalton played with the Northern Knights in the Coates Talent League and was named in the 2019 team of the year.
The Bulldogs confirmed that 27 players had re-committed to the Kennel for the upcoming AFLW season.
In a strong showing of loyalty to the red, white and blue, reigning best and fairest top three Ellie Blackburn, Alice Edmonds and Isabelle Pritchard lead the way.
Inaugural Bulldogs Kirsty Lamb, Bailey Hunt and Kirsten McLeod will remain in the red, white and blue, while last year’s draft class Rylie Wilcox, Heidi Woodley and Keely Coyne will move into their second seasons on a senior list.
Premiership Bulldogs Naomi Ferres and Deanna Berry will also continue, as will Celine Moody, Elle Bennetts, Rocky Cranston, Daisy Bateman and Millie Brown.
The future of the club has also been secured, with Gabby Newton, Issy Grant, Eleanor Brown, Jess Fitzgerald, Elisabeth Georgostathis, Brit Gutknecht, Sarah Hartwig, Gemma Lagioia, Aurora Smith and Elizabeth Snell re-committing.
Football executive director Chris Grant said locking in the majority of players was a fantastic result.
“To have emerged from both the priority signing period and sign and trade period with the bulk of our list shows how much faith this group has in what we are striving to achieve under head coach Nathan Burke,” he said.
“It’s also a testament to the environment we have fostered here at the Kennel, built by both the staff and players.
Amanda Ling and Annabel Strahan will not be offered contracts for season eight, while Brooke Vernon has announced her decision to step away from football.
