Fresh from leading the Under19s on a successful charge up through the divisions, Con Terzoglou has been appointed senior coach of the Williamstown CYMS Football Club for the 2022 season.

Better known as KB, Terzoglou has coached the Under 19s team since 2014, successfully steering the side from Section 3 up three divisions to the highest level.

After the eight-season “apprenticeship” under departing senior coach Mathew Montebello, he will be reunited with many of the young players he mentored ahead of their progress into the senior ranks of the club, whose Men’s senior team plays in the Premier B Division of the VAFA.

Terzoglou played his junior football at Werribee, followed by a season of senior footy with Werribee Amateurs.

He took the Hawthorn Amateurs to a flag as playing coach, then steered the Williamstown CYMS team to a number of finals appearances.

Terzoglou is now looking to put the frustrations of two Covid-19 curtailed seasons behind him as he gathers together the playing group and leads them into pre-season activities ahead of the 2022 season.

His appointment comes as Williamstown CYMS puts out the call for a number of coaching roles at the club.

The club is seeking a new U19s Premier Head Coach and Unders Program Lead to working with the Senior Coach to transition players into open-age football and work with Williamstown Juniors on a smooth transition for the U16s boys.

The Director of Coaching will support all head and assistant coaches in delivering football programs and provide operational support to all eight teams.

The Men’s Reserve Coach will support the senior coach in delivering the senior program and be the game day coach of the Reserves team.
