Williamstown takes flight with 11-goal win

Williamstown cruised to a 14.10 (94) to 4.4 (28) win over Casey Scorpions in a one-sided practice match at Casey Fields.

It was the first time the Seagulls had taken to the field competitively since last season’s VFL grand final win over Box Hill Hawks.

Big-name recruits Arryn Siposs and Ayce Cordy made strong first impressions for the Seagulls, Siposs capping his game with two goals and high-flying marks deep in the forward line.

Other multiple goalkickers for the Gulls were Sam Dunell, Leigh Masters and Damien Bugeja.

Williamstown will jostle Frankston for a second preseason hit-out at Frankston Oval on Saturday.
