Spotswood has announced that Glen Smith will coach their women’s side in the next year’s Western Region Football League.
Smith, who has been involved at the club for a number of years, replaces premiership coach Ian Allan and Chris Grant.
“Glen is very well known around the club and has taken on many various roles over the years,” the club said on social media. “Glen is now ready to take on this coaching position.
“We wish Glen and the senior women’s team a great success for the next season.”
Smith said he was honoured by the opportunity to coach the women’s side.
“The only promise I can make to potential players, is that I will do my best to help you achieve your best and enjoy being part of the Spotswood Football Netball Club.” he said.
“So don’t be shy, come along for the ride and let’s see what we can do together. Not just players but anybody that would like to contribute, we want you with us.
“I have been fortunate to have the Spotswood Football Netball Club as my club for 54 years. I hope to pass on the happiness that has brought me, to you.”
