I have worked for Hobsons Bay Family Day Care for 25 years. But I won’t be
holding my breath for a certificate of appreciation for my work when my Cherry
Lake Ward councillor could not get a seconder for his motion to award a Hobsons
Bay kindergarten leader for her “10 years of dedicated service”.
At least
seven of Cr. Briffa’s motions were met with silence from councillors Gates, Morgan,
Hemphill, Grigoravich and Wilson, along with Mayor Altair.
So much for
working together for the betterment of Hobsons Bay.
I would have thought solar
powered lights for Harrington Square or traffic counts on Millers Road are
worthy of consideration.
Former Cr. Bill Tehans words of “egos” at one of his
last council sittings is ringing loud and clear.
