Chinese New Year, launching 2013’s year of the snake, will arrive with a bang at the Heavenly Queen Temple in Footscray, under the watch of a giant golden statue of Mazu. Temple president William Tsang (pictured) says there will be fireworks from midnight on Saturday and a lion dance from 2pm on Sunday.
