YARRAVILLE Club’s spot in the top two and the home final that comes with it is well and truly under threat in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association senior division.
The Clubbers were on the end of a clubbing at the hands of Keilor on day one of the final-round encounter at Keilor Recreation Reserve.

The four-time defending champions lost on the first innings inside a day. They were bowled out for a meagre 104, new recruit Adam Contessa top-scoring with 25.
Keilor finished on 7-128 at stumps and has made it clear it will not be giving an outright gift to the Clubbers when play resumes on day two.
“Our objective today was to have a say in the way the four is shaped,” Keilor coach Nigel Freebairn told the Weekly. “Now we want to finish off strongly next week.”
The Clubbers cannot miss the finals but could drop as low as fourth if results do not go their way.
In north division, Laverton took the day one honours over Altona North.
The Magpies posted 211 on the back of a breathtaking 106 from James Baker, who hammered 15 fours and two sixes.
North was in trouble on 5-48 at stumps.
In north A1, Seddon, which sits one spot out of the top four, faces a massive run chase against premiership contenders West Coburg at Hanmer Reserve.
The Hawks were set 298 for victory and even if they are successful, it might not be enough with the third- and fourth-placed sides St Albans and Aberfeldie in strong positions overnight.
