Altona Beach Festival all set for fun are fireworks

CELEBRATING ‘sky, sea and community’, the Altona Beach Festival on Saturday, March 23, will be jam-packed with free family entertainment and activities.

More than 80 community groups are combining to deliver street markets, art and craft activities, workshops, exhibitions, historic tours and performances across two stages.

Looping around Logan Reserve, a street parade from 5.30pm will culminate in a fireworks display at 8.30 on Altona beach.

Headline act this year is BABBA (pictured), who, many believe, deliver the most exciting and musically accurate tribute to ABBA in the world.

Performing all their hits, BABBA will take the audience on a musical journey that will have them on their feet and dancing.

Since 1994, BABBA has performed all over Australia, Asia and New Zealand to sell-out audiences and rave reviews. Benny, Bjorn, Agnetha and Frida have returned to transport fans back to the ’70s with a show full of humour, great costumes, Swedish accents and fun-filled dance floor action.

BABBA performs at 7.15pm, March 23, on the Logan Stage at Logan Reserve, near Altona Homestead.
