PETS of all persuasions will be celebrated this Sunday at the Maribyrnong Council biannual Pet Expo.
Vets, trainers, animal welfare groups and groomers will be on hand for the community day with fun and information for you and your pet.
Animal lovers and families can learn all they need to know about keeping a pet while also taking in a reptile display, pony rides, merry-go-rounds, jumping castles and face painting. There’s also a bush poet, dog lure coursing, and an animal farm.
All pets are welcome but must be suitably restrained.
Prizes will be offered for the best-dressed pet as well as the best pet and owner lookalike.
The council will offer discounted microchipping ($25) with local laws officers and vets on hand to answer questions about pet registration or animals.
The expo is on at Footscray Park, Maribyrnong Boulevard, 10am-2pm this Sunday.
