WESTERN suburbs comedians have been polishing their acts ahead of the launch of this week’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Hot from sell-out shows and rave reviews at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Yarraville comedian Angus Brown (pictured) will be bringing his show Mania to the Forum’s Carpet Room.
Brown shares the demons and torments of his experiences of being bullied through stories of the weird and wonderful.
Mania is a collection of stories of the unusual and everyday through the prism of a manic man-boy’s brain.
Audiences learn everyone is a little bit nasty and a little bit nice, depending on how you look at them.
Mania runs until April 21.
Maribyrnong comedian Adam Francis joins the festival with his comedy partner in crime Dilruk Jayasinha.
The pair will perform a show called Romcom, about pursuing a career you love over the person you love.
Francis is a Raw Comedy national finalist and Jayasinha is a Green Faces competition national finalist. Romcom runs until April 20.
