Plates finger illegal drivers
A numberplate recognition operation by Footscray police on Ballarat Road on Friday detected 11 unregistered vehicles, seven suspended drivers, four unlicensed drivers and two drivers with expired licences.
Waste collection fee binned
Residents in multi-unit developments and non-residential properties that don’t use Hobsons Bay council’s garbage service will no longer be charged an annual $190 fee for waste collection.
