FOOTSCRAY consolidated its place in the Lacrosse Victoria men’s state league top four with a runaway 16-9 win against Camberwell at Eric Raven Reserve on Saturday.
The Scray made a hot start to lead 5-1 at the first break with five individual goalscorers.
Camberwell refused to throw in the towel, regaining a semblance of control in the second and then producing a stunning third period to be back on level terms heading into the last period.
But the Scray turned up the heat again with a 7-0 final quarter, which included four goals from sharpshooter Daniel Stiglich, who finished with six.
