Williamstown pub apartment ‘shock’

THE owners of Williamstown’s Bristol Hotel were “in shock” after the state’s planning tribunal allowed them to build 40 apartments. 

Last November, Hobsons Bay council rejected the fourth application for a four-storey, 40-dwelling apartment block on the site. 

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal has overturned the council’s refusal but ruled that the facade must remain.
