IT will cost $1 million to reopen Jack Madigan Reserve at Newport, Hobsons Bay Council said last week.
During World War II the navy stored oil at the site, which later became a waste tip.
Transition Hobsons Bay has organised a community meeting on Saturday at 11am to discuss possible future uses for the site.
