MARIBYRNONG’S Kirsty McWilliam hopes the sun will be shining down on her chilly run through Southbank this Sunday in the Leukaemia Foundation’s first Sunflower Club ‘Speedo Dash’.
Joining long-time friend Amanda Webster and other fund-raisers, Ms McWilliams will be dashing along Southbank and past iconic Melbourne landmarks such as Federation Square and Flinders Street wearing nothing but sunflowers, bathers, body paint and a smile.
Their online auction page ‘The Speedo Dash of Awesomeness’ has 450-plus members ready to bid on more than $3500 worth of donated items, with all funds going to the foundation.
