FOOTSCRAY had no trouble accounting for Camberwell in a 16-7 win in Lacrosse Victoria men’s state league.
Having already sewn up a finals berth, fourth-placed ’Scray is pushing for a blue-chip position in the top four.
Footscray led by two goals at half-time but applied the blowtorch in an impressive 10 goals- to-three second half.
Danny Blau put the finishing touches on the victory with five goals, while Jack Mooney had four assists to go with three goals. Chris Plumb netted a hat-trick.
The ’Scray could not have asked for a better preparation for Saturday’s much-anticipated western derby against top-of-the-ladder Williamstown at Fearon Reserve.
Meanwhile, Williamstown has sealed the minor premiership in division 1.
