NEWPORT Rams will have a women’s program up and running for the
2013-14 Baseball Victoria season.
The Rams briefly had a women’s team in
the late 1990s and new president Trent Curwood wants to see a return.
“Currently our junior girls have no option but to leave the club once
they finish playing juniors,” he said.
“We hope the introduction of a
women’s program sees them stay at the club well into their senior
careers.”
The Rams will hold a women’s come-and-try day on Sunday at K.C. White Reserve from 12.30pm.
