Maribyrnong foster carers Vincent Attard and Kym Phillips have been recognised for more than a decade of service during the state government’s 2013 Robin Clark Memorial Awards.
The pair received a highly commended award in the Changing the Definition of Family, Carer of the Year category.
Community Services Minister Mary Wooldridge said the awards, held in Child Protection Week each year, recognised Mr Attard and Mr Phillips for their extraordinary commitment to the young people in their care.
“They have been outstanding foster carers with Salvation Army Westcare since 2001, providing care to 23 adolescents during this time,” she said.
