A bumper crowd turned out in Footscray on Friday night for the opening night of the 2013 Big West Festival.
A parade launched festivities at Footscray Community Arts Centre before a night of live music fired up on the main stage.
Footscray Primary School students provided an exuberant twilight performance and art was everywhere to be seen, from the gallery walls to the rose garden.
Madeleine Flynn and Tim Humphrey’s Mobile Radio hits the airwaves for the first time, with further broadcasts continuing throughout the festival.
