Set sail for a world of multicultural fun

Williamstown’s Seaworks Maritime Precinct will host its first multicultural family festival this weekend, celebrating Hobsons Bay’s rich and diverse history.

Thousands of people from across Melbourne and interstate are expected to attend the festival, which will run from 10am-10pm on both days at 82 Nelson
Place.

Chinese, Egyptian, German, Greek, Italian, Lebanese and New Zealand cultures will be among those represented.

Executive committee member Rana Said says each culture will add its own flavor to the festival.

“I’m Lebanese,” she says. “Lebanese people love their food, love their music, love their dancing and love to sit down and have a chat.”
