Walking and cycling are on a roll at Footscray North Primary School.
Pupils, including Sophie, have hopped on their bikes as part of the Premier’s Active April challenge, a free state government program that encourages people to walk or ride to school or work, visit a park or join a sports club.
Melbourne Vixen netball star Bianca Chatfield has joined the challenge and wants others to follow suit.
“Active April is a great time to start making positive change and increasing your daily physical activity,” she said.
Active April participants receive 10 free YMCA passes, a 15 per cent discount at Rebel Sport and free court hire at Melbourne Park.
