PARTY: Eurovision glam for Williamstown High School

Get out those ABBA outfits for a Eurovision Song Contest party hosted by the Parents and Friends Association of Williamstown High School.

Organiser Lynne Georgiadis said she would base her outlandish costume on Lithuanian entrant Vilija Mataciunaite or on one of the hostesses who “glam up to the eyeballs”.

“It’s a not-to-be-missed experience if only for the outrageousness of the event,” she said.

“We have secured the use of Soul City at Pasco Street with fabulous surround sound and big screen.

“This is the newly upgraded drama venue at the Pasco campus.”

Opera Australia in West Footscray is hiring props for the party.

Tickets cost $15 and guests are being encouraged to don glam costumes and bring their own snacks.

Bingo will be played throughout the night.

Money from the annual fund-raiser will go towards a new drama theatre to celebrate the school’s centenary.

Funds will also be used to buy equipment needed by various school departments.

Bookings for the May 11 event can be made at trybooking.com/EPPW under the event title Vista Eurovisionista.
