Western words

Readers and writers can take in three free workshops and performances this Thursday (May 29) as part of the Emerging Writers’ Festival’s western suburbs program. Words Out West’s first foray to Footscray will help people recapture the spirit of their inner child when Lachlann Carter leads an adult writing workshop in the same way he would deliver a session to primary school children. The program also includes the launch of the Right Now anthology Poetic Justice and closes with Rev It Up, featuring US-based poet Derrick Brown performing a powerful set of poetry in a rock and roll style.
