West Footscray singer Iaki Vallejo is fulfilling her dream of bringing her Colombian music to the world via a new album with renowned percussionist David Jones.
A master chocolatier by day, Vallejo is hoping to hang up her apron for a full-time musical career.
She regularly sings in clubs and at festivals and says music has always been a part of her life, along with the adventurous spirit that took her to Spain and Italy on her way to calling Melbourne home.
“Even though I am from Colombia, the music I am doing is a blend of styles,” she said.
