St Albans man cops charges

A man accused of impersonating a police officer, possessing prohibited weapons and trafficking cannabis was remanded in custody last Friday. The St Albans man, 28, was arrested after his vehicle was searched in Nelson Place, Williamstown, on June 9. Police allegedly found a firearm, taser and Australian Federal Police badge in the car. Police allege cannabis was found at his home. He is scheduled to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on
July 16.

Double trouble

A brazen thief stole a man’s car keys inside a Williamstown pub before driving away with the car. The car’s owner, a 50-year-old Williamstown man, was in a Kororoit Creek Road hotel about 3pm on June 2. Police are seeking a man wearing shorts and carrying a large bag who was captured on CCTV as he entered the hotel. The victim’s car was found later the same day in Gordon Street, Geelong, with the keys in the ignition.

Stolen credit card shopping spree

Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole a credit card in Yarraville on May 20. The card was taken from a Thomas Street business between 7am and 7pm and later used to spend thousands of dollars at 10 different shops in Altona, Maribyrnong, Melbourne’s CBD, Dandenong, Brunswick and St Kilda.
