Mayor Grant Miles stands in front of Maribyrnong Town Hall, which was bathed in red last week in support of the 20th International AIDS conference, held in Melbourne.
It was one 40 public buildings illuminated across Melbourne to raise awareness of the impact of HIV in the community, with others including Parliament House, the Royal Exhibition Building and Eureka Tower.
Maribyrnong council hosted two events during the conference – a panel discussion on HIV prevention and management for young people across the west, and an evening of dance and music at Yarraville’s Kindred Studios.
