Athletics Victoria has launched its 2014-15 summer season under the motto Make It Happen.
The Athletics Victoria Shield, for which local clubs Western Athletics and Williamstown Athletics Club compete, will feature an eight-round competition plus a final. In weeks six, seven and eight, a new zone-versus-zone competition will be launched.
Another new concept is AV knockout, in which the top 60 athletes from the AV Shield in all disciplines and events will feature in a knockout tournament.
The opening round of the AV Shield is on October 14.
