Williamstown has completed the Lacrosse Victoria men’s state league season with an unblemished record.
The Fearons made it a perfect 16 from 16 with a 12-11 win over Camberwell at Fearon Reserve on Saturday.
They have set up a showdown with Footscray at Altona’s PJ Lynch Reserve on Saturday in the major semi-final for the right to a direct path to the grand final.
The Scray, last year’s premiers, held on to second spot despite having a bye in the final round.
Footscray took out the minor premiership in the women’s state league, clinching it with a 13-6 win over second-placed Newport at Angliss Reserve on Sunday.
The two sides will meet again in week one of the finals.
