The magical power of books to create new worlds will be explored in Footscray next week when West Independent Theatre delivers The Bookworm. Seddon actor and playwright Belinda Campbell (pictured) says her first play uses the character named Paige Turner to explore the idea that stories can take such a hold of you that you confuse them with reality. The Melbourne Fringe production at Bluestone Church Arts Space runs from September 16-20. Tickets cost $11-20. Bookings: melbournefringe.com.au or 9660 9666.
