Body found at beach
The body of a man was found in the water at Altona beach on Monday. A Victoria Police spokeswoman said it was found near Millers Road about 7.30am. Police do not believe the death was suspicious.
Mystery over empty boat
Water police were called to a boat mystery at Seaholme on Sunday. The 4.8-metre fibreglass Savage boat was found near Beach and Queen streets about 7am, with its motor running but no one aboard. The owner said he had left it moored at Bayview Street fishing club in Williamstown. Anyone with information is urged to contact triple-0.
Talk about trucks
The third Trucks and Inner West community event will be held at Maribyrnong Town Hall from 6-7.30pm on Wednesday, October 8. VicRoads, Maribyrnong Council, EPA Victoria and the Health Department will discuss short-term measures to address truck movements in the inner west.
