Maribyrnong, Coburb robbery: Hadfield paid front court

A Hadfield man fronted court on Monday charged with robbing a Maribyrnong convenience store and a Coburg sex shop at gunpoint for cash and synthetic cannabis last month.

Sam Grace, 21, has also been charged in connection with six other armed robberies in Melbourne’s north-west.

Grace was charged with eight armed robberies and possessing a handgun and ammunition.

Shylah Rodden, 18, also of Hadfield, was charged with one armed robbery in relation to a Coburg sex shop and with possessing a handgun and ammunition.

Grace was remanded to reappear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on January 5.

Rodden was bailed to appear in the same court on the same date.

Police are still looking for a gunman involved in the Maribyrnong and Coburg robberies, on September 22 and 26 respectively.

Police have released CCTV images and footage of a gunman who pointed a firearm at a Maribyrnong convenience store worker.

He is described as Caucasian, 177 centimetres tall and of medium build. He was wearing a red hooded jacket over a blue hoodie with drawstrings, dark track pants and black runners with red soles.
