Four-storey rejection challenged
Yarraville Village’s first four-storey residential proposal will be decided by VCAT. Marwood Developers will take the council to VCAT over its refusal of a fourth storey on the building proposal for 66 Wilson Street. The council unanimously rejected the proposal despite a council report recommending its approval.
Jobs promoter launched
Business West 21, launched yesterday, will promote investment and jobs growth in Melbourne’s west, including Maribyrnong, Hobsons Bay, Brimbank, Melton, Moonee Valley and Wyndham.
Driver charged after collision
An Altona North man, 21, was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm after an alleged hit-run collision in Altona North on Monday. Police believe he was riding a motorised bicycle in Fourth Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle about 5.30pm. The driver, a 31-year-old Altona North woman, was found nearby and returned a blood- alcohol reading of 0.137 per cent. She has been charged with reckless conduct endangering life, drink driving and failing to remain at an accident scene.
