Church fete
The Anglican Parish of Altona-Laverton is holding a spring carnival fete on Friday from 10am-2pm. The fete, at St Eanswythe’s Church, Queen Street, Altona, will have homemade cakes, jams and marmalades, crafts, books, toys, plants and a sausage sizzle. Morning tea and lunch will be served. Funds raised will be used to provide community services.

Long lunch for Lutherans
St Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Footscray will join more than 100 other communities across the world this Sunday to host the Aussie-inspired Longest Lutheran Lunch.Anyone is welcome to attend.
Exercise with a difference

Goddess art
Artists Heather Ruth Laurie and Jennie Williams Culic will present the From Girl to Goddess exhibition until October 29 at Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre, 5 Sargood Street, Altona. Artworks by the two friends celebrate their life journeys, embracing bumps, flaws, cracks and curves.
