Celeste Mucci was the golden girl again for Williamstown Athletics Club at the 2014 Victorian all-Schools athletics championships at Albert Park.
Mucci was one of six club members to win a total of 11 medals – three gold, seven silver and one bronze.
The Maribyrnong College student took home all three of the club’s gold medals, and a silver to boot, after strong performances on the track and in the field.
She took out the under-16 high jump, long jump and 100m hurdles and ran second in the final of the 100m.
Cosimo Mucci (U17) shone in the sprint event, claiming silver in the 100m and 200m. Middle-distance athlete Riley Kane (U20) finished a close second in the 800m and third in the 1500m.
Silver medals also went to Ryhan Thomas (U15) in the 1500m, Sean Hardeman in the javelin and Angus Wood (U14) in the triple jump, a mere 8cm behind the winner.
Brad Ticehurst (U18) just missed out on a placing with a close fourth in the 100m.
Other Williamstown athletes to compete at the championships were Killian Mignon, Zara Gilbert, Alyssa Bearzi, Jeanie Kane and Rhiannon Wood.
