Three men allegedly robbed a man while he was waiting at a tram stop in Footscray on September 10.
Police believe the three men took the victim’s laptop, cash and phone at the Droop and Trieman streets stop at 10pm before fleeing towards Ballarat Road.
It is believed the men were with four others at the time of the incident.
The first man is described as being 180cm tall with a medium build, short hair, a dark beard and was wearing a black jacket with jeans.
The second man is described as being about 170cm tall, with a medium build, short hair and was wearing a black jacket and brown jeans.
The third man is described as being about 170cm tall, with a thin build, and black shoulder-length hair with dreadlocks. He was wearing a dark T-shirt and dark tracksuit pants.
Police have released an image of a man they believe may help them with their inquiries.
