The 2015 Yarraville Festival’s fashion show will raise funds to support the work of Mercy Palliative Care in the western region.
Taking place at the Sun Theatre on Wednesday, February 11, I Heart Fashion will showcase designs from seven of the suburb’s clothing stores.
Proceeds from the sale of tickets will go directly to the care service, which provides 24-hour support to people with incurable illnesses and their carers and families.
Festival manager Megan Darling said Mercy Palliative Care deserved to be celebrated.
“We really want to bring recognition to Mercy Palliative Care and the work that they do,” she said. “They’re an incredible group who really help people at the hardest point in their lives.”
Mercy Health fundraising manager Shannon Gilmore said the festival’s help for the care service was wonderful.
“These donations will help us provide financial support for patients who fall through the gap,” she said.
The show will take place at the Sun Theatre from 8pm on February 11. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at participating shops: Marita’s of Yarraville, Niche, Village Idiom, Lambhouse, Angelica, One White Lie and Boomerang Exchange.
